Atif qualified as a physiotherapist in 2003 from Pakistan, earning a bronze medal for his academic excellence. He initially worked in a tertiary care centre in Pakistan specializing in spinal surgery until 2006, when he moved to the UK. In the UK, he pursued a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, recognized by the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).
With extensive experience in both the NHS and private healthcare, Atif specializes in assessing, diagnosing, and treating complex musculoskeletal conditions. For the past 12 years , he has worked as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in community-based MSK services, providing expert care to NHS patients. He has also served as a Spinal Assessor within the NHS, collaborating with spinal consultants to evaluate and manage patients with complex spinal disorders. His particular interest lies in spinal rehabilitation and treatment.
Beyond clinical practice, Atif has played a key role in service development and in managing teams of Advanced Practice Physiotherapists. His career spans hospitals and private clinics, where he has honed his expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. Committed to continuous learning, he has attended numerous advanced courses to refine his assessment and treatment skills.
As a certified clinical educator, Atif has delivered professional development courses internationally. He is also a trained injection therapist, administering joint and soft tissue injections since 2015. He is a trained Musculoskeletal sonographer and performs ultrasound guided joint and soft tissue injections as well.
Atif strongly believes in patient centred care, emphasizing that listening to a patient’s story is the cornerstone of a successful assessment. He prioritizes accurate diagnosis from the very first consultation, ensuring a clear and effective treatment plan that is continuously re-evaluated based on patient response.
